Bedlington Academy governance

Stuart Hillier

Stuart became a parent governor back in 2016 to gain an insight into the school functionality and to help support this with his business experience.

Stuart's experience includes working in the public and private sector business environments and employing over 400 full time staff in the north east and cumbria. He hopes to bring this experience and knowledge to the parent governor role.

Stuart has already supported the school by carrying out presentations to the students about career choices and next steps into the wider world.

With one of his children attending Bedlington Academy, he feels it is key to make sure that parents have an insight to the school running to make sure that the students' education is always the number priority.

Stuart enjoys working closely with the school and looks forward to the next steps with it now being an academy.
