A level is a rigorous academic subject which allows you to develop your passion for performing and composing whilst introducing you to traditional, popular and new styles of music. It allows you to develop your creativity and self-expression alongside analytical skills including familiar and unfamiliar music and set works.

A level music allows students to actively engage in the process of music study and offers the flexibility to specialise in either performing or composing. Depending on their choice, students will study performing or composing in-depth for 10% of their assessment.
