Sunday 17th November, seven cadets travelled down to Eden Armoury to take part in the Annual Reserve Forces and Cadet Association shooting competition.

This was Bedlington CCFs first year attending the competition with a talented but still developing team.

They were facing teams from other CCF schools, Durham and Cleveland Army Cadets and a team from the Royal Air Force Cadets.

Our teams competed in the air rifle shoot (Summers Cup) and the .22 Cadet Small Bore Target Rifle shoot (Jarvis Cup).

We are delighted to announce that we won both the Summers Cup and Jarvis Cup, the best Air rifle shot ( Cadet Sergeant Bennet) and the best 0.22 shot ( Cadet Corporal Kian O'Brien) and best 0.22 shot runner up (Cadet Lance Corporal Tindale).

The cadet staff is extremely proud of everything they have achieved and this success is down to the cadet's hard work and fantastic team ethic.
