Students have a blast on trip away

This term, a group of intrepid geographers from Years 8-13 travelled to Patterdale in the Lake District for a fantastic three day residential.

Students completed their rivers fieldwork and visited the village of Glenriding to investigate the impacts of tourism and how flooding is being managed in the village. Students worked hard and even had lessons in the evening to finish off their investigation reports.

It wasn't all work and no play though, some of the highlights included canoeing across Ullswater, completing a daring cliff jump, all finished off with an energetic five mile hike (most of it uphill), where we enjoyed amazing views and stopped to marvel at a waterfall.

All the students were brilliantly behaved and we look forward to doing it all again next year!
