Congratulations to Year 11 student, Sarah Jane Fairlie, and her rowing partner, Ellen Fenwick, who have qualified for the rowing national finals after winning first place in the British rowing inter-regional junior trials.
After racing in January and February in freezing conditions, the girl's efforts have paid off and they will now represent the Northern region in the finals held at the end of April in Peterborough.
Sarah and her partner were paired up over a year ago and have multiple wins already under their belts. Well done girls! We look forward to hearing how you get on in April.
