Students at the Academy have spent the week getting active to show support and raise money for Sport Relief.

During PE lessons, all students completed the 'Sport Relief Mile' as well as various fitness challenges including tug of war. Students were also able to wear their own sports kit in exchange for a donation towards Sport Relief.

Students have also been getting involved in lunchtime and after school sports club where they have enjoyed games of badminton, dodgeball, table tennis, fitness and five-a-side football competitions.

Bedlington Academy PE Teacher, Miss Scott, commented: "It has been great to see so many students having fun and increasing their activity levels this week through attending additional lunchtime and after school clubs. A real highlight has been seeing every student challenging themselves to achieve their personal best and complete the Sport Relief Mile."

On Friday, staff and sixth form students will be taking part in a cycle-a-thon where they will be competing to see who can cycle the furthest distance during the school day - stay tuned to find out who won!
