After a successful A level results day last week, Bedlington Academy students are celebrating once again after collecting their long-awaited GCSE results earlier today.
Top performers at the Academy include high-flyers, Rosie Hurley, who achieved an impressive six Grade 9s, two 8s and a distinction* and Morgan Johnstone who achieved five Grade 9s, two 8s and two distinction*s. Abbie Tate and Robbie Richie are also celebrating fantastic results – Abbie received six Grade 9s and one Grade 8, Grade 7 and distinction* and Robbie was awarded seven Grade 9-7s with one distinction* and one distinction. All four students are now planning to continue their studies at our sixth form, NE6.
Our Head of School, Joanna Lamb, commented: “We are delighted to have welcomed students today as they received a brilliant set of results - we are very proud of their achievements. We have had a record number of students choosing to continue their studies with us at our sixth form, NE6, and we are looking forward to working with them again in September. We would like to wish all students the very best of luck, wherever their journey takes them.”
“Since joining the North East Learning Trust in 2018, our school has gone from strength to strength and it is thanks to the continued support of our staff, students and their families that we are making the rapid improvements which we are determined to build upon.”
