Our STEM club members are currently focussing on the exciting topic of rocketry. In the coming weeks, students will be undertaking their own scientific investigations into the different aspects of rocketry and rocket design.
Alongside their projects in the club and lessons, they will be completing a CREST Bronze award which gives them a certified qualification for their efforts.
So far, the group have investigated three different propulsion methods, ethanol, methane, and water; students are now in the process of coming up with their own ideas for an investigation and planning how to undertake it.
Bam, Year 8 said: “STEM club is very fun because we are always doing activities. I like it especially because we launch different rockets and learn new things. I hope we get to do more experiments in the future.”
