Would you like to go on an adventure without leaving the comfort of your chair? Our reading challenge at Bedlington is a passport to endless escapades!

Each month, there will be two prompts. Your challenge is to find a book that matches a prompt and give it a go. Regardless if you finish the book or not, we would love you to leave a review by clicking here.

You can read as many or as few books as you like, and the prompts will be available throughout the school year. You can re-read one of your favourites if it matches the prompt! Our aim is to get as many students and staff reading and talking about their recent or favourite reads.

There are many books around school you can borrow - it doesn't have to be an expensive hobby. If you have signed up for BorrowBox from Northumberland library, the number of free eBooks and audiobooks available to you will make taking part in this challenge even more entertaining.

July’s prompts are all about summer. Your first prompt is to read a book with ‘hot’ words in the title, such as fire, lava or ash. For example, you could read Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas. The second prompt is to read a book that is set at the beach, involves a holiday or travelling. For example, you could read I am number four by Pittacus Lore. Your reviews will help our prompts even more for August...

If you have any questions about the reading challenge, please speak to Miss Nichol-Wilson or Mrs Scales.
