This morning our Year 11 students opened their GCSE envelopes and were treated to some fantastic grades that reward years of hard work and commitment to their studies.

The number of students who achieved grade 9-4s in maths and English has risen again to 70%, with equally strong grades achieved in a range of other subjects. Almost a quarter of all students achieved grade 7+ in all subjects.

As always, there were some top academic performances, including:

  • Lexxy Nicholl who earned 6 grade 8s, 3 grade 7s and a Distinction*.
  • Charlotte Mason who earned 1 grade 9, 1 grade 8,4 grade 7s and a Distinction*.
  • Arran Hewitt who secured 2 grade 9s, 5 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s and a Distinction*.

Joanna Lamb, our Headteacher, said: “This year’s GCSE results are a fantastic achievement and everyone at our school is extremely proud of our students. Good results open up options for further study and rewarding careers, and it is lovely to see our students moving on to their chosen destinations successfully.

We are delighted to be welcoming a record number of students back to our Sixth Form provision, and wish the best of luck in the future to all our students progressing to other education pathways and apprenticeships”.
