We are over the moon to announce that Bedlington Academy has achieved the Gold School Games Award for the third year in a row! The mark aims to reward and recognise a school’s engagement, provision and uptake, in the School Games against a national benchmark. It also celebrates keeping young people active. It's a brilliant tool for us to review our hard work as a school and be rewarded and recognised for all the brilliant opportunities that we offer our young people in school sport.
We'd like to thank staff from our PE department, who continue to work hard each year to provide as many sports opportunities for students as possible, both in and out of school. Our Bedlington Academy Active Sports leaders were heavily involved in us being awarded the gold award again this year! We can't wait to see if we can achieve the platinum award next academic year.
