Be the bet you can be...
...That is the consistent message we communicate to all our students. Here at Bedlington, we have launched our ‘Character Passports’ this academic year to support our wonderful students to build character. This requires them to get involved and challenge themselves and strive to the best character they can be. Our Year 7 - 9 students are aiming to complete their passport each term.
The passport includes a wide range of character challenges, including:
- engaging in an act of kindness
- demonstrating good manners
- volunteering or showing community spirit
- demonstrating leadership qualities
- supporting others
- being independent
- showing resilience
- caring for the environment.
Importantly, students earn their badges for demonstrating these traits both in and outside of school. Those who earn their badges are celebrated half termly. Please look out on our social media feeds our winners from last half term! Please help and encourage your child to be fully involved in the ‘Character Passport Challenge’ to prepare them with the skills needed to be successful in the wider world. Ultimately, being fully involved will help them to strive to be the best, strive to be a role model and to be the best character they can be!
